Eco Friendly Self Catering Holiday Accommodation  

Millers Farm offers self catering accommodation in the Barn which can sleep 2 or 3 people. Next to the house, but completely self-contained, the unit is light and airy in summer but cosy in winter. The Barn is an Ecohouse - providing wood fired underfloor heating throughout, solar hot water for the kitchen and shower room and electricity generated from photovoltaic panels.The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and electric oven. Upstairs, there is a bed sitting room with a king size bed and single sofabed for a couple and child. Or the bed converts into 2 singles which, together with the sofabed, allows for 3 adults.There is a television, dvd, cd player and good quality wifi connection, with wonderful views across to the village and Severn Vale beyond.

Visitors can enjoy walks straight from the farm. Quiet roads, cycle tracks and the many other attractions offered throughout the Dean are within easy reach. Parking in the yard is secure, as is storage for bicycles. Public transport is easy -  trains to Lydney from Gloucester or South Wales linking to a bus which will drop you at the farm gate. There are also buses to Blakeney from Gloucester, Chepstow, Lydney and Cinderford.

Bespoke Yoga Breaks can be arranged. Your stay could include Yoga lessons, as a small group, couple or individually. Sue can offer a soothing or energetic morning practice, a short pranayama practice in the afternoon and an evening relaxation, meditation or mantra chanting designed specifically to your needs and timetable. Visits from local therapists can also be arranged: Massage, Shiatsu, Kinesiology, Herbal Medicine....

Camping

Campers are welcome, especially walkers and cyclists. £5 pppn. There is a choice of fields, near or further away from the house. A compost toilet with rain water harvested washing facilities is available in the field barn and a shower room with toilet can be used in the house upon request. There are no facilities for caravans or campervans.

Residencies

We have provided accommodation for resident artists commissioned by the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail in the past and can offer combined self-contained living and working space. We welcome applications to rent  accommodation from artists, writers, musicians and others who need peaceful living/working space for up to six weeks. Contact us for special rates.

We are planning to become a host for Wwoofers (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) and will be applying to join soon.
